Vilma M Burke, FNP-C, is an accomplished nurse practitioner with a diverse educational background, including degrees in education, public administration, and nursing from North Valley College and Grand Canyon University. She brings over 10 years of experience as a school principal and extensive nursing expertise from rehabilitation centers to telemetry nursing.
In addition to her role at Burke Medical, Vilma enjoys spending time with her Husband, Tom, and her two kids, JV & JR, and hobbies like wine tasting and kayaking. Her passion for healthcare and dedication to patient care are the driving forces behind her career.
Thomas Burke
CEO
Tom Burke, an accomplished professional with degrees in Business, including an MBA and JD, has an extensive background in the banking sector. He spent many years working with Bank of America and Lloyds Bank in California. His most cherished professional experience was his 14-year tenure as a Professor of Business at Whatcom Community College in Washington. Additionally, Tom owned and operated a retail business in San Diego for five years.
He is a proud veteran, having served in Vietnam as a Sergeant in the U.S. Marines. Tom is happily married and has been residing in Florence, AZ for the past seven years, enjoying a fulfilling personal and professional life.
Dawn Preston
General Manager
Dawn Preston, a native of Charleston, WV, moved to Arizona in 1984 and currently resides in Casa Grande. She is a devoted mother and a doting grandmother to her granddaughter, Mae. Dawn recently concluded a successful 20-year tenure at Optima Medical and has since embarked on a new professional journey with Burke Medical.
She values quality time with her family and friends, and is deeply appreciative of life’s experiences. As she transitions into this exciting new chapter, Dawn remains thankful and feels blessed for the opportunities and experiences that have shaped her journey.
